Prayer

Heavenly Father, we want to thank you for showing us just how
much you love us.
Help us to imitate your Son's way of life that many will discover the
reality of eternal life.

Amen

Lord, we find it so easy to sing your praises but so challenging to
seek your Kingdom. Forgive our self-centredness and renew our
passion for righteousness and justice wherever we can make a difference.

AMEN

How can the world hear the Good News of God's forgiveness, if there is no one
to forget hate and extend their hands beyond bitterness?
Here we are,God, ready to proclaim your Good News.
Here we are: make us your disciples!

CHRISTIAN VIEWPOINT
God never leaves us - his Spirit's with us!
Of all the Spirit's gifts to me, I pray that may never cease
To take and treasure most these three:
love, joy and peace.
He shows me love is at the root
Of every gift sent from above,
Of every flower, of every fruit,
That God is love.
Though what's ahead is mystery,
And life itself is ours on lease,
Each day the Spirit says to me:
Go forth in Peace!
Something I came across the other day which I thought was quite good:-
WHAT SORT OF CHRISTIAN ARE YOU?
Some Christians are like wheelbarrows - t hey need to be pushed.
Some are like kites - unless a string is kept on them they fly away.
Some are like balloons - full of air and ready to blow up.
Some are like footballs - you can't tell which way they will bounce next.
Some are like neon lights - they keep going on and off.
Some are like a valuable watch - open face, pure gold, quietly busy
and full of good works.
